GALVALUME SUPPLIERS

LEB Enterprises provides services as Galvalume suppliers. Galvalume is a flat-rolled steel sheet coated with aluminum-zinc alloy by a continuous hot-dip process. The nominal alloy composition by weight is 55 % aluminum, 1.6 % silicon, and the balance zinc. The composition of aluminum and zinc, developed by the engineers of Bethlehem Steel (USA) in the mid-60s, offers corrosion resistance and heat reflectivity similar to that of aluminum coated steel, and galvanic protection of bare edges similar to that of zinc coated steel.

Galvalume is a registered trademark of BIEC International Inc, and is produced by BIEC' s licensed producers worldwide

Galvalume features:

· Heat resistance: Galvalume withstands continuous and intermittent exposure to temperatures of up to 600 F without discoloration and up to 120 F without heavy oxidation and scaling.

· Organic coating: Invisible thin resin coating with enhances roll formability without the need of oil, prevents storage stains-dark grey and black stains-and substantially reduces fingerprinting and foot marking during installation.

· Energy savings: Galvalume steel reflects twice as much heat and light as galvanized and acts as a heat shield in roofing. This quality makes galvalume and ideal material for energy-efficient buildings.

· Yield advantage: Aluminum makes 55 % of galvalume coating by weight, but compromises 80 % by volume. The result is a coating that weights less while delivering more square feet per ton than galvanized steel.

· Formability: Galvalume is suitable for all but the most severe forming applications. It can be formed about as readily as continuously annealed galvanized sheet steel. Lock-forming and roll-forming are readily accomplished.

· Attractive appearance: Galvalume has smooth surface that is aesthetically pleasing and makes for a superior surface for pre-painting and post-painting.

· Paintability: Galvalume has smooth, consistent surface that is suitable for painting.

· Resistance to standing water: Cyclic immersion tests by Bethlehem Steel confirmed that galvalume sheet endures ponding-standing water-several times longer than either galvanized G90 or aluminum-coated Type 2 sheet before the onset of rust. This quality makes Galvalume an ideal material for low-slope roofs.

· Durability: Galvalume continues to demonstrate durability, edge protection and resistance to device to crevice corrosion after 23 years of outdoor exposure under severe marine, industrial and rural conditions. Typical durability for Galvalume is 2 to 4 times that of galvanized G90 sheet.

· Cut-edge protection: Tests conducted by Bethlehem Steel revealed that Galvalume sheet provides better cut-edge protection than G90 galvanized steel. This is mainly because the 55 % Al-Zn coating remains on the steel sheet providing sacrificial protection for a much longer time period (2 to 4 times) than the pure zinc coating. Compared to the aluminum-coated, type 2 panels, the sheared edges of the Galvalume sheet panels show less corrosive attack at the rural site.

Galvalume applications include:

· Architecture: Architectural panels, pre-engineered metal buildings, roofing (both conventional and standing seam), siding, ventilating ductwork, rain gutters, downspouts, solar collector panels, culvert pipes (corrugated steel pipes), etc.

· Appliances: Toasters, ovens, heat shields, furnace parts, heating equipment, interior lining of refrigerated vending machines, refrigerator drip pans, commercial fryer linens, space heaters, air conditioning equipment, walk-in coolers, etc.

· Automotive: Car platforms, truck cab, motor bike horn parts, muffler parts, automotive under-body parts, hose clamps, railroad car platforms, highway signs, etc.

· Equipment: Farm equipment and machinery, garden tools, buckets, truss plates, playground equipment, etc.
